Braille2000 Subscription Policy
A Braille2000 Subscription is a calendar-month by calendar-month right-to-use
software license for Braille2000. There is no contract: you are not obligated
to renew the Subscription when it expires. If you do not need Braille2000 for
some months (e.g., while on vacation), just do not renew your Subscription
for those months. (If more than three months lapse, our automation stops
generating renewal web-pages: if that happens, contact us for renewal options.)
Renewal is not automatic. We do not have your payment information (fees are
collected by PayPal). At the end of a license period (always the end of a month)
your license simply goes dormant. When you next use it, you get a license expired
notice and you can, if you wish, then pay a fee to re-activate the license.
This often happens at the beginning of the next calendar-month, but it does not
have to. You can renew the Subscription at any time, but because the Subscription
fee is for the calendar-month, a renewal late in the month is less of a good
value: you will pay for all of the month, even the portion already gone. A
Subscription renewed late in a month will still expire at the end of the month.
If, after paying for a Subscription, you decided you do not want it, you can
cancel any pre-paid future calendar-months for a full refund. The fee for the
current month is considered committed and will not be refunded even in part.
If you have a Subscription and would like to purchase the Braille2000 license
(after purchase, there are no recurring fees), you can request a one-time
Subscription Credit on that purchase in the amount of 50% of total Subscription
fees paid. Contact us for details.
